Professional Experience
Joanna Garelick Goldstein has experience in all aspects of patent litigation and in many aspects of trademark practice. She has represented clients in the pharmaceutical arts and other technical areas in federal courts in complex patent litigations. She has represented clients in trademark litigations in federal courts and also counsels clients with respect to foreign trademark oppositions.
In 2004, Ms. Goldstein served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence E. Kahn, United States District Judge in the Northern District of New York.
While in law school, Ms. Goldstein was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and participated in the AIPLA Richard S. Giles Moot Court Competition where she was named the Regional Competition winner and a National Competition Semi-Finalist. The faculty at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law awarded Ms. Goldstein the Jacob Burns Medal for Best Moot Court Oralist in the Class of 2003 and the Steven Eric Tannenbaum Leadership Award for service to the Cardozo community.
