Professional Experience

Peter D. Shapiro’s practice focuses on patent litigation in the electrical and computer arts, as well as litigating cases involving pharmaceuticals. Technologies he has worked with include computer hardware and software, network systems and components, semiconductor devices, display technology, digital cameras, laser printers, electronic commerce, communications techniques and algorithms, anti-cancer drugs, cholesterol lowering drugs and optical devices.  Peter also has experience litigating trademark claims and counseling clients on intellectual property issues. 

Mr. Shapiro previously worked for Goldman Sachs & Co. from 1994-1999 as a Senior Telecom Analyst where he gained extensive experience in communication and network infrastructure and management, and then was a law clerk for the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, District Judge in the Southern District of New York.
