Dr. David Surry prepares and prosecutes patents and has experience in patent litigation and due diligence investigations. His technological experience encompasses small molecules, formulations, polymorphs and drug delivery platforms in connection with treatments for various conditions including circulatory, neurological and gastrointestinal diseases. He has also worked on matters in a number of other chemical fields including catalytic convertors, polymers and chemical vapor deposition.
Prior to his legal career Dr. Surry held a research fellowship from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work focused on the development of novel metal-based catalysts with applications relating to pharmaceuticals and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). He has published over a dozen papers in peer-reviewed journals and these have garnered thousands of citations in the scientific literature. He has presented his research at international conferences and is a named inventor on a U.S. patent.
