Dr. Jacob Whitt practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent litigation.
While in law school, Dr. Whitt was a member of the Tulane Law Review, in which he was also published. Additionally, he served as a student intern to the Honorable James L. Dennis, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and to the Honorable Sarah S. Vance, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Dr. Whitt earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry and published several articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. His graduate research focused on mechanisms of DNA-protein interactions in genetic engineering platforms. Dr. Whitt’s research experience also includes work in analytical biochemistry and pharmaceutical formulations chemistry.
