Sean Walsh focuses his practice on patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings. He has prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, including: contactless payments systems, data collection and dissemination systems, network systems, printers, cameras, and dental devices, among others. Sean has personally drafted numerous applications in these areas as well. As part of his prosecution practice, he regularly advises clients ranging from large international corporations to small privately held companies on their best options for protecting their intellectual property.
Sean is also a member of Fitzpatrick’s PTO Contested Proceedings practice area, and is actively involved in all phases of inter partes review proceedings.
Prior to joining Fitzpatrick, Sean researched carbon nanostructures and their potential uses as an energy storage mechanism and field emitter in flat panel displays.
