John Murnane was the moderator for the Intellectual Property Panel at the CPR Annual Meeting in Miami on March 2-4. This panel addressed Patent ADR around the world, focusing on IPR proceedings in the USPTO, how recent Supreme Court cases have influenced litigation, implications for dispute resolution, together with a consideration of comparable proceedings in other countries, the role of trade secret protection and BREXIT, and current practices to minimize and eliminate inconsistent positions regarding company patents worldwide and prospects for ADR aboard.  Sean McCarthy co-authored the paper that Mr. Murnane submitted to the conference.
