New York, NY, January 6, 2009 – Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto, ( www.fitzpatrickcella.com ) one of the nation’s premier intellectual property law firms, has announced that associates, Jonathan Berschadsky and Michael P. McGraw, of the New York office have been elected partners at the firm effective January 1, 2009.
“Jonathan and Mike have contributed substantially to the success of Fitzpatrick, Cella and we are pleased to recognize their outstanding work by making them partners,” said Dominick A. Mr. Berschadsky, who joined Fitzpatrick, Cella as an associate in 2000, is engaged in the litigation and prosecution of patents in a variety of technology areas, including electronics, computer software and hardware and e-commerce. Mr. Berschadsky also conducts IP due diligence investigations, prepares opinions on issues of patent infringement, validity and enforceability and advises on issues related to licensing, standards organizations and U.S. and International patent portfolio management. He also is a member of the firm’s Website and Technology Committees. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Berschadsky worked in the satellite communications industry integrating, testing and launching commercial spacecraft.
Mr. Berschadsky received his J.D. from Rutgers University Law School in 2000, his M.S.E.E. in 1993 and his B.S.E.E. in 1991 from Boston University. Mr. Berschadsky, 39, resides in Tenafly, New Jersey.
Michael P. McGraw
Mr. McGraw, who joined Fitzpatrick, Cella as an associate in 2001, is involved in complex pharmaceutical patent litigation with an emphasis on actions arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act. His experience includes work on cases related to substituted dihydropyridines, thrombin inhibitors, beta-blockers, vitamin and nutritional supplements, acetamides, and benzoazepines. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McGraw worked as a patent liaison at an industrial gas company and as a dissolution chemist at a branded pharmaceutical company. Mr. McGraw is a member of the firm’s Marketing Committee.
Mr. McGraw received his J.D. from Pace University Law School in 2001 and his B.S. in biochemistry from University of Scranton in 1992. Mr. McGraw, 38, resides in New City, New York.
