Jackie’s practice includes both patent prosecution and litigation matters. Her patent prosecution experience involves a variety of scientific areas, including the mechanical, electrical, and chemical arts, as well as medical devices. She has also worked on opinions, interferences, reexaminations, inter partes reviews, and on a case before the ITC.

Her practice also includes many aspects of trademark law, including domestic and international trademark portfolio management, as well as filing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign trademarks.

Prior to joining the firm, Jackie was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined patent applications involving medical devices and diagnostic methods.

ITC: 337-TA-829 – Toner Cartridges and Components Thereof

Jackie assisted in representing Canon, Inc. in this ITC proceeding.  In the final decision, the ITC issued a general exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed importation of infringing toner cartridges and components thereof.  This general exclusion order is 1 of only 5 general exclusion orders issued by the ITC between 2013 and 2015.
