NEW YORK, April 10, 2015 – Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto, is pleased to announce that Dominick Conde, a partner in its New York office, and Dennis Aeling, an associate in its California office, were named recipients of the 2015 Burton Award for Legal Achievement. Mr. Conde and Mr. Aeling received this award for their article entitled, “De Novo Review of Patent Claim Construction.” This year’s award marks the ninth time that Fitzpatrick has been recognized.
Dominick A. Conde is active in all aspects of the firm’s patent practice, focusing particularly on large-scale litigation matters related to chemistry, pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical devices and diagnostics. Specific technologies that Mr. Conde has worked with include chemotherapy agents, anti-viral agents, expectorants, anti-bacterial agents, anti-histamines, anti-hypertension agents, filtration devices, writing instruments and firefighting apparatus. Mr. Conde formerly served as the firm’s Managing Partner and is currently on the firm’s Management Committee.
Dennis Aeling’s practice focuses on complex patent litigation with an emphasis in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts. Prior to law school Mr. Aeling worked for a contract research organization in the analytical chemistry group, identifying and characterizing organic compounds.
